The Bronx-Wide Frosh & Soph Championship races were ran at Van Cortlandt Park on Monday October 7th & Tuesday October 8th.
The Boys Frosh Team Placed 2nd among all Bronx High Schools led by Yash Dewan, Henry Boon-Bordenave, Ben Studness, Milan Pannu & Gauvain Hardouin. Clyde Brittelle, Julian Batista and York Douglass all set PR’s (Personal Records).
The Boys Sophomore Team WON the BRONX CHAMPIONSHIP, out performing ALL BRONX HS’s of all divisions. Led by the top three overall individual performances from Declan Olds, Aidan Engel & Owen Mow the team took back the crown from all Bronx rivals.
The Girl’s Frosh Team was led by Nadia Solomon, followed by Adriana Gambol, Evelyn Salazar, Elsa Villagomez, Hadley Hildebrandt, and Ericka Manzueta as they came within a handful of points of almost taking 2nd Place.
The Gir’s Soph Team was led by a sub 20 minute performance in the 4k race by Tishya Mackie, followed closely by Maxine Abel, Keira Elinson, En-Jia Wu & Abigail Na. They lost to only one school securing a 2nd place finish in the Bronx Soph Championships.
