Both the Boys and Girls Basketball Teams kicked off their seasons in impressive fashion, earning opening-day victories that set an exciting tone for the year ahead.
The Girls Team came out strong, jumping to an early lead and holding on for a thrilling 26–22 win over Marie Curie High School. Senior Katlyn Toranzo powered the offense with 11 points, while junior Naomi Redlener dominated on both ends of the court, recording a fantastic double-double with 16 rebounds and 10 points.
On the Boys side, the Senators controlled the game from start to finish, securing a solid 43–33 victory over the Academy of Language and Arts. Patrick Spencer and Yash Dewan led the charge, each putting up 14 points to push the Senators to a strong opening performance.
