What a season for the Senators! The HSAS Bowling Team closed out its regular season in impressive fashion on Friday, defeating James Monroe 2–1 to finish with an outstanding 9–1 record! With the victory, the Senators secured a share of the Bronx League Title, finishing tied for first place with Bronx Science. Congratulations to our bowlers on an incredible regular season!
“This has been a tremendous season for us,” said Coach Vlad Valerio. “Over the past few years, we have changed the culture of this team. We are really excited about finishing 9–1!”
Leading the way against James Monroe was a group of Senators seniors who stepped up when it mattered most. Diego Nehme, Fletcher Eastwood, and Zach Mendez each posted games of over 130, helping power HSAS to the 2–1 victory. It was a terrific team effort and a fitting way to wrap up an outstanding regular season!
But the season isn’t over yet!
The Senators now turn their attention to the Citywide Playoffs, where they will look to keep the momentum rolling and make some noise against the city’s best. The date and location will be announced soon, so stay tuned!
Congratulations to Coach Valerio and the entire team on a fantastic regular season. The culture is growing, the results are showing, and the Senators are ready for the next challenge!
