First, there was the earthquake! This was a new experience for most of us on the East Coast. And then, the eclipse…which, while lacking the drama and surprise of the temblor, nevertheless captured our attention. While some of our staff and students took the historical approach (as is our wont) and researched past quakes and eclipses, others simply enjoyed looking down one day and then looking up a few days later.
