On Monday January 27th the Senators continued their streak of dominance winning against Comprehensive Model 57-23. Myla Choi passed the ball well with 3 assists and contributed 10 points. Naomi Redlener led the team with 4 assists and was a force on the boards, grabbing 8 rebounds.

The following day on Tuesday, the Senators fought hard against Frederick Douglas Academy and beat them 52-50. Captain Ophelia Clark-Wade stepped up with 16 points, 3 assists, and 3 rebounds. Moreover, Magdalena Martini put up a double/double with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Her hustle won the game for the Senators. As the clock ran out, Magdalena grabbed an offensive rebound to score the game winning basket. When the Senators were asked what led to their victory, Kaitlyn Toranzo responded with, “we just wanted it more.” The Senators clinched the playoffs and the division title with an incredible 12-1 record.
