The 2023 Girls Cross Country Team looks to be one of the strongest in recent school history. Coach Dave Lurato has the girls working hard, hoping to once again be a top team in the Bronx and a top 10 program in the NYC.
The team is led by Junior standouts Sally Roth and Haley Rodriguez. Roth hopes to improve upon her 11th place finish in the Borough championships. Rodriguez has even loftier goals hoping to be a contender for a Bronx Individual Championship and qualify for states.
The team includes many talented runners, senior Carmela Suozzi, junior Abigail Theriault and sophmore Ophelia Clark-Wade, just to name a few. The girls begin their quest on September 19th at Van Cortlandt Park.
