On March 28, HSAS students and faculty enjoyed a visit by Ellen Jovin, the Grammar Guru and author of the book Rebel with a Cause: Tales and Tips from a Roving Grammarian. Ms. Jovin generously gave of her grammatical time and joined our freshmen as they diagrammed famous quotations from Shakespeare. She also set up her “grammar table” in the lobby and answered questions about declension, the Oxford Comma, and how to add apostrophes to words ending in -s. All grammatical disagreements were resolved thoughtfully and amicably, as is our wont at HSAS.
