HSAS attended its fifth debate tournament of this year at Edward Murrow HS in Brooklyn Saturday March 18. In the last regular season tournament before the City Champions, HSAS debaters fought through another round in their quest to the top.
Novice, Annabel O’Reilly placed 2nd speaker in the division.
The Junior Varsity freshman team, Clara Bonafili and Josephine Kramer were undefeated, placing first in their division. Clara placed 2nd and Clara 6th for speaker awards. The duo went undefeated on the day.
Daniel Schneiderman and Frances Grodsky came in 6th after winning 3 of 4 debate rounds.
Noah Connolly and Luke Hoppa dominated the Varsity division, undefeated on the day winning all four rounds. Noah and Luke were awarded first and second place speaker awards, respectively.
