On Saturday, June 8th the Senators captured the NYC PSAL Championship by defeating YWLS- Astoria by the score of 21-7. It was a complete team effort with each player contributing to the team’s victory.

The Senators jumped out to an early 6-nothing lead and never looked back scoring runs in every single inning of the game. Seniors Jordan Sickle, Nora Demak, Belen Bankert, Leo Rowe, and Nathalia Dominguez had amazing games combining for over 10 hits collectively. Defensively they we just as strong. The Senators made a handful of spectacular defensive plays. Also playing significant roles were sophomores Avery Sammarco, and Mary Greene, and juniors Alexandra Niatsetskaya. Junior Julia Fried was named the PSAL Most Outstanding Player of the Game, pitching a complete game and hitting two home runs including a monster shot over the fence at St. Johns University Stadium.

Congratulations to the whole team!
