The Senators began their Friday last week honoring five Seniors; Belen Bankert, Nora Demak, Nathalia Dominguez, Leo Rowe and Jordyn Sickle and then proceeded to blast local rival Marie Curie by a score of 13-2. The Senators scored early and often going out a big lead and never looking back. Dominguez pitched a complete game giving up only two runs and struck out six. Bankert led the offense with three hits, five RBI and four stolen bases. With the win, the Senators captured the Bronx 1A League title and finished the regular season with an impressive13-1 record.
The Senators are now advancing through the playoffs and will host Baruch HS on Harris Field at 4pm.
