The Boy’s Basketball Team completed their season and celebrated their seniors Aidan Tom (’24) & Sebastian Ramos (’24).
The Girl’s Basketball team was recently chosen to take part in the prestigious Borough Basketball Championships. This is an invite-only event run by the PSAL for the top 10 teams in the Borough (Bronx) across all enrollment classifications. The Senators took on the AAA program KippNYC on Friday, and despite the loss, they played extremely well and represented all the small enrollment schools in a terrific fashion.
“Being selected is a tremendous accomplishment for our program,” said Head Coach Ryan Hondorf. “Having the chance to play against some of the top programs in the Bronx like KIPPNYC was an amazing experience and one that will pay dividends in the future.”
Next up for the Girls is the City-Wide Class “A” playoffs (small schools) They will host Bedford Academy on March 4th in the Old Gym. Members of the HS of American Studies community are invited to attend and cheer them on!
Baseball, Softball, Boy’s Tennis & Boy’s/Girl’s Outdoor Track begins on Friday March 1st! – Coaches will be having information meetings this week and next week for all current and new members. Look out for announcements and signs posted around the school. FROSH & SOPH students are strongly encouraged to join a team and participate in our athletics program.
